It was a busy busy weekend. Not only was it Mother's Day on Sunday, but it was also National Train Day on Saturday!! You may recall that two years ago, I got to celebrate National Train Day in Philadelphia. Well, since we aren't at Babcia and Dziadek's this weekend, we got to see what National Train Day was all about in one of the best know train stations in the world - Grand Central Station. Let's just say, it was quite a different scene from Philadelphia.
They had a whole special kids' section set up with a Chuggington train table, arts and crafts activities and toys.
While Everett appeared to be taken by the Chuggington trains, I was quite taken by another Chuggington feature - the TV show!!
We also colored, made paper train and special signs, danced to the Disney Radio live show and checked out the electric trains.
Apparently, National Train Day in NYC is big enough to draw celebrities. Rosario Dawson is the 2012 National Train Day spokesperson and was there to open up the festivities!
Since we were at Grand Central, we had to pay a quick visit to the new Apple store there. You know, to check out the new products, especially the new iPad 3.
All in all, a good day!
