Boogie Boarding

Yes, we've been spending a lot of time at the beach. Being on the eastern end of Long Island, there are a lot of beaches for us to choose from - there are bay beaches with calm waters that are perfect for little boys like us and there are also ocean beaches with bigger waves and lots and lots of sand. We mentioned before that Montauk is known for its surfing and we got to see lots of surfers out in the water. 

Even Daddy got in on the action.

When he got back from his surf, I decided that it was my turn in the water - to try boogie boarding!! It was so much fun!

Everett decided that he wanted to try it too. Well, it didn't go as smoothly for him.

Let's just say that for the rest of the morning, he preferred digging in the sand and stayed far away from the water.

Meanwhile, I just couldn't get enough of the ocean waves!

Montauk - About Town

Where exactly are we, you ask? We're in Montauk - out on the very eastern end of Long Island. We've come to spend the last part of our summer vacation here, to relax and go to the beach and spend time outdoors. Montauk is known for its fishing and its surfing and there are six state parks in the area. We've been having fun exploring downtown and all the ice cream shops...

a couple of local restaurants which happen to have fire pits for roasting 'smores! I think that Juno would like it here.

We still have a few places to check out and are having so much fun exploring a new place.

Gone surfing

Sorry but Everett and I are trying to savor the last few weeks of summer before school starts. That means we're enjoying lots of summertime favorites like swimming, the beach, ice creams, 'smores and sunsets. We're so tired from all the fun in the sun that we've barely had a chance to download pictures.

Oh what a week!!

Oh boy. What a week!! Everett's birthday and visits from Keira and Zachary??!? We've been too busy having fun. Sorry for not posting. As you saw from the last post, Everett was very excited to have his favorite cousin in town to celebrate his birthday with him. We all had fun getting reacquainted. I think that Everett enjoyed having Zachary around because he had someone to boss around!

After Everett's party at school, we got caught in a huge rainstorm on the way home and all had to change our clothes immediately. Then we proceeded to open Everett's birthday gifts.

Look! Everett got Guido and Luigi from Ah-Boo! There were a few more gifts but I guess we were too excited or moving around too much for Mommy or Coufou to capture us on film.

The rest of the time was spent on the playground and generally having fun and being silly.
