What do you think could produce this kind of tension in two little boys?
Would you guess watching the Presidential election results come in? Or watching the closing minutes of a particularly close Brooklyn Nets game? Or maybe even a Hitchcock thriller?
Those would all be very valid and good guesses - but not in our case. Nope, all it takes to bring us to this state of tension is an episode of the Octonauts...
We sure hope Kwazi can save the turtle and Peso can save the eggs!!!

Once again, Daddy can't escape us!

Once again, Daddy is traveling for work - this time to Dallas - and once again he can't escape thinking about us even when he's away. In the past there have been highway signs and company names to remind him about either Everett or me, but this time it was Daddy's client's very website that popped me into his head in the middle of a workday!
Are you going to bring me back some sporty Ralph Lauren clothes, daddy?!

Bored...

And when I get bored, I have to come up with things to entertain myself... this is my latest activity, though I'm not quite sure how to describe it (and Mommy and Daddy don't seem quite sure what to make of it, so they just take pictures and move on...)
I guess maybe I'm just giving everyone a hint that rather than being bored at home, I'd rather be swimming in the pool? Or maybe I'm just celebrating the Olympics? What do you think?

Back to business

Boy, we've really been delinquent with blogging lately, but that's only because we've been so busy. First, we went on an out-of-town family trip over the weekend, and then since we got back, Mommy has been very busy with work, and Daddy had to go to Boston for his work, so there hasn't been anyone to help us with the blog.
But as always, we know that even when Daddy is away on one of his work trips, he's always thinking about us, like during his drive on a highway outside Boston...
Starting tomorrow, though, we'll recount some of our weekend adventures in Mystic, CT!

Haircut time

If you haven't noticed, my hair has been getting quite long. Mommy finally got around to taking me to get my hair cut after school. I've been to this hair salon a couple of times now so I feel pretty comfortable there. I strolled in, plopped down on the seat and asked for a lollipop and bubbles. As you can see from the pictures, I have already finished a blue lollipop and am not working on the bubbles.
Jasper had to tag along too. However, since the hair salon is in the middle of renovations, there wasn't really anywhere for him to sit. So he plopped down in the Bumbo on the floor. And don't worry. That's just a lollipop sticking out of his mouth.

This morning, Mommy left for a weekend trip to see a friend, so we're at home with just Daddy, where we have him outnumbered...
And right where we want him...
Have fun, Mommy - we sure will!

Some of you may know that Jasper and I have become big fans of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. BIG FANS. How big? Well, for about the past two months, we have allotted all the TV we're allowed to watch each day - a half-hour in the morning and another half-hour in the evening - to Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, and nothing but Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.
So when we found out that Mommy was going on a work trip to Los Angeles recently, we knew exactly what we wanted her to bring back for us, since we know that Mickey and all the friends (Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Pluto and Goofy) live at Disney World near L.A.
Mommy, of course, obliged us, and brought us each a great Clubhouse stuffed character toy - Minnie for Jasper and Daisy for me (as we each requested.)
Imagine all our surprise when, on the very day Mommy returned from Los Angeles, two big packages from Ah-Boo arrived at our house - one for me and one for Jasper. Of course, we couldn't wait to open them.
It turns out that these were gifts (yes, MORE gifts - if you've been following the blog lately, you know what I mean...) - an early birthday present for me, and a preschool graduation gift for Jasper.
And guess what the presents were? (The bag in the picture above might give you a clue...)
That's right - ALL the Clubhouse friends!
Who could have imagined such an embarrassment of riches for two little boys. Since our new friends arrived, they hardly leave our side, including when we're watching our twice daily episodes of Clubhouse, but especially when we sleep...
We love our new Clubhouse friends! Thank you, Mommy! Thank you, Ah-Boo!

Kittens!

Look what we spotted on our walk to school this morning - the local vet has a litter of kittens for adoption.
I wan that grey one -
Jasper seems to prefer the black one that climbs -
But wait - would this mean that we'd have to empty a litter box full of kitty poop every day?
Ummmm... maybe having three cats at Babcia and Dziadek's house that we can visit is enough for now...

I was going for the Magnum, PI look...
But I think I wound up with more Groucho Marx...
Now I'm trying to decide whether to grow it out more or trim it...
Thoughts?

Will you just let me sleep, please?

Lately, Mommy and Daddy seem to have developed a habit of coming into mine and Jasper's room in the middle of the night, and worse yet, taking pictures of me while I sleep! Apparently, initially this was "for my own safety", but lately I'm beginning to get the idea that they are doing it for their own amusement.
Do YOU think there's anything amusing about how I sleep?
How about Jasper?
No, I didn't think so. So Mommy and Daddy, can you just let us sleep, please? And please, NO MORE PICTURES!

And sometimes Mommy and Daddy find me sleeping like so in the middle of the night...
At least my bed is much closer to the floor than Jasper's...

New Jersey Turnpike

Yes, this is how I spend many of my cold winter afternoons these days - recreating, with a good deal of detail and accuracy, the stretch of the New Jersey Turnpike that leads to Dziadek and Babcia's house.
Since I don't have a picture or aerial view of the Turnpike, I've been building the exits from my memory and using my imagination, but Daddy says that it is very accurate, right down to the direction of the turns we take off the exit when we drive this stretch of road, and the representation of Dziadek and Babcia's house at the end.
