Since we hadn't gotten around to getting our own Christmas tree by early this weekend, we decided to go out to check out some real Christmas trees instead. And all the better, Dziadek was in town, and since he loves going on choo-choo rides as much as I do (wink-wink), we decided to take the R train to Manhattan to check if we could find any Christmas trees there - specifically at the Winter Garden at World Financial Center. I just couldn't wait to get there!
And once we did get there, it did not disappoint. Look at the size of this tree, and the beautiful decorations.
Everett was especially impressed by all the balls on the tree...
Even though it was nice and toasty inside the Winter Garden, it was not big enough to contain our boundless energy, so out into the brisk air we went to look for adventure, get some exercise and work off some of that energy. Which, luckily was easy to do with all the fun stuff strewn about Battery Park City made just for kids.
Well, maybe not all of it was made just for kids, and maybe some of it could be considered a bit dangerous, but boys doing dangerous things is all the rage these days, no?
Eventually we made our way to a playground, where we got to ride the circle-bike...

And make friends with the turkey (which happens to have been created by our favorite artist, Tom Otterness!)
But are we EVER going to get around to getting our own Christmas tree?!
