New Year's Day

Continuing our "blog catch-up" travels back in time, we bring you to New Year's Day. You already know that it was a beautiful day in NYC on New Year's Eve day, when we went to DUMBO, and it was an even nicer day the next day, so we decided it called for an even grander trip - all the way across the river to Manhattan! Not only that, but we decided to visit Auntie Alison! And not only that, but  Josephine Pau-Pau and Desmond Kung-Kung were in town!

And as if that wasn't enough excitement, we all decided to take advantage of the beautiful day with a nice walk from Auntie Alison's apartment to Central Park.

Everett and I had lots of fun at one of Central Park's many playgrounds, running around and just in general being silly, as we are want to be.

The best part of this playground, though, were the giant boulder outcroppings that we could climb all over. Who wouldn't want to do that?!

Well, maybe Mommy, at first (and maybe she was just a wee bit worried about us climbing all the way up there as well.) But eventually me, Everett, Daddy, Auntie Alison and even Mommy all climbed all the way to the top, to enjoy the Manhattan views and especially the warm sunshine.

And then, we decided to ring-in 2012 the same way we said good-bye to 2011 - with a ride on a carousel, of course!

This time, it was the Central Park Carousel, which both Everett and I rode for the first time (believe it or not,) and there couldn't have been a better day for it!
