Election Day

For those of us living in the U.S., today is a big day. It's Election Day! This election in particular is important because we get to choose a new President for the next four years. Mommy says that people aren't happy with the direction that the country is going so they are very motivated to make a change. It could be the most important Presidential election in my lifetime so far! Okay, granted it's the only Presidential election in my short 20 months since being born but still. This one feels different. Just look at how many people are waiting in line to vote! The line went all the way around three sides of the school. There's usually never a line Mommy says.

So, this morning, before going to daycare, we got in line and waited along with all our neighbors. It's our civic duty afterall.

I even assisted the volunteers outside to help make sure everyone knew where to vote.

It took us about an hour to get into the voting site but once inside, things moved pretty quickly. I got to go inside the voting booth with Mommy. Even though I'm not 18 yet and not allowed to vote, Mommy let me pull the big red lever to cast her vote. Now everyone - GO VOTE.
